And maybe a little attracted too.
Pity I’ve never been more than an afterthought to him.
But when rumors start to circulate about hazing, and the sources lead back to my house, it puts me square on Zeke’s radar.
I want to help him get to the bottom of it all.
And with his attention finally on me, I want to tell him how I feel.
My Review:
Presidential Chaos was full of the perfect balance of sexual tension, heartwarming moments, strong friendships, and a little bit of mystery and intrigue mixed in. The usual shenanigans were present of course, and so was the familiar, loveable humor. The characters and couples from the previous two books were prominent parts of this story, though they never subtracted from Zeke or Charles and their relationship. Seeing everyone come together for one final hurrah was so much fun, while simultaneously bittersweet. I’m going to miss these dorks!
Not only was this book my favorite of the series, but Zeke and Charles are hands down my favorite couple. I had a feeling they’d get their own book after reading the first one, and I’m so glad I was right! Zeke and Charles’s relationship started as casual hookups, no strings attached, but despite that, they were still friends beneath it all, even if they were loath to admit it. This connection already forged between them strengthened all of their interactions and made their progression from somewhat friends/business partners, to hookups, to something more, feel so natural. Their interactions were the best!! Zeke loved getting under Charles’s skin, and Charles would always rise to the bait, but they also had some really sweet and endearing moments between the two of them.
They both encouraged each other to be the best versions of themselves, to push for what they wanted and never stop aiming for their dreams. They had to compromise on a couple of things because they were headed in two completely different paths, and the way they did it with full consideration for the other person, while never giving up on themselves and their dreams, was so perfect. It’s a common complaint I have in romance novels, but this one handled it so well, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
In addition to the fantastic romance, the plot of Presidential Chaos was so strong! I wasn’t expecting the mystery aspect but I was living for it! I loved watching the rival fraternities come together to solve it, as well. Gave me some of those found family vibes that I love so much. The banter between everyone was also top notch! Seriously, I could not stop reading this book. Every time I tried, my thoughts would stray back to it, and the next thing I knew, I’d pulled my kindle out and was completely absorbed.
The Frat Wars series may be finished now, but I had so much fun with it! Watching these guys develop and come into their own has been such a pleasure. Presidential Chaos specifically was absolutely incredible, and I’m so glad I had the chance to read it.
